Sep-Oct 2016

Greetings, it is hard to believe that summer is almost over. It will be the High Holidays before we know it. If you have not yet turned in your membership commitment form and initial payment, please do so now. It is important for us to receive your pledge so we can plan for the upcoming year and the needs for our temple community.

I want to welcome new members to our leadership council. Jeremy Covey, Platina Gershtenson, Danish Kahn, Eilleen Feldman and Jeff Collen have joined us recently bringing fresh perspectives and new experiences to help guide our community.

We have an additional need for volunteers to assist Amy Majerowski with our Membership Committee. Help us continue to grow our welcoming environment - and support the Beth Hillel you have grown to know.  Please contact the temple office if you are able to help.

At the conclusion of the High Holy Days, in late October, our rabbi will start her sabbatical. It is recommended that congregations provide sabbatical time to their clergy allowing for study, reflection and overall personal and professional growth. We are fortunate to support our rabbi in endeavors like this and look forward to her returning refreshed.

Thank you to the efforts of the ritual committee as well as our lay leaders providing great support for services during Rabbi’s absence.

If you have questions or needs during the sabbatical, please route those to the temple office and the appropriate people will be alerted to assist you.
